Volunteer Guidelines & Code of Conduct

As a volunteer of the All India Haj Welfare Committee (AIHWC), you will support Haj pilgrims and local communities through information, coordination and on-ground assistance.

  • After receiving the ID card, establish your identity and presence in your respective area.
  • Do not focus only on Haj pilgrims. Also take responsibility for training those going for Umrah, as this will prepare them better for Haj. You can obtain Umrah training content from the group.
  • Become active even before the Haj application forms are announced and spread awareness in your area using your name.
  • Conduct Haj form submission assistance programs and from there create groups of pilgrims to stay in touch with them.
  • Explain the form submission process, status updates, cover numbers, and other related terms clearly to the pilgrims.
  • Remain active on the day of Qurrah (lottery selection).
  • Guide both confirmed and waiting list pilgrims about the next steps and what actions they need to take.
  • After the Qurrah, conduct a one-day high-level training program explaining what to do next and introduce your future training sessions.
  • As soon as Haj Trainer application forms are released, apply to become a Haj Trainer.
  • Create your own WhatsApp channel and use your ID card as the display picture (DP) for identification.
  • Use technology in training — such as projectors, screens, and digital presentations — and develop your own training content.
  • As and when any activity is performed, upload its photo on the portal.

Violation of these responsibilities may result in suspension or removal from the volunteer network.
